Andrea Ribeiro Hoffmann.
What is the role of regional organizations in the fight against climate change in Europe and Latin America and the Caribbean (LAC)? What are the agendas and main axes of disagreement and their drivers? How can consensus be fostered? In her presentation on the ongoing research project ‘Green Politics and Policies in the EU and the LAC Regional Organizations’, Andrea Ribeiro Hoffmann discusses these questions and explores the possibilities for further engagement of regional multilateral fora as a complement to global commitments from a comparative regionalism perspective. She also discusses interregional cooperation between EU and LAC regional institutions. Andrea Ribeiro Hoffmann is Associate Professor at the Institute of International Relations of the Pontifical Catholic University of Rio de Janeiro (IRI/PUC-Rio) and Associate Professor at the Federal University of Latin American Integration (UNILA).
