Chile : What country do we want to be?
Chile Conference on Public Policy is organized by a group of Chilean graduate students in The UK with the aim of discovering new problems in red tape policy areas, by asking, what country do we want to be? This question will be tackled jointly with high-level speakers producing various outputs to disseminate ideas and proposals. This meeting is the foundational milestone to promote Latin American grad students in the UK as the hub of future policy ideas and innovative-led solutions in Chile.
The event is going to be held on the 24th of May in the LSE School of Public Policy in London and 25th in Blavatnik School of Government in Oxford. We are going to count with the presence of Ambassador David Gallagher; former Ministers as Rodrigo Valdes, Chilean policymakers and important academics from the UK as Nicholas Barr, Igor Calzada and Peter Ramsay. In this instance, we would discuss topics as Labour market and the fourth industrial revolution, Impact Investing, Taxation system, New Criminal Law, Pensions systems and its challenges, Smart Cities and the future challenges for Social Protection and Poverty alleviation programmes.
